HOPA Food Distribution Program in Kandahar Province
Humanitarian Organization for the People of Afghanistan (HOPA) is implementing food distribution interventions across multiple districts in Kandahar Province, including Sha Walikot, Spin Boldak, Shorabak, Arghistan, and Miyanashi. The program includes assessments and targeting exercises to identify vulnerable households in need of assistance, supported by funding from the World Food Programme (WFP). These activities are designed to ensure timely, effective, and equitable distribution of food aid to vulnerable populations, with a focus on returnees and women.
The organization conducts vulnerability assessments and targeting exercises in selected areas to identify eligible households and ensure assistance reaches those most in need. This work is supported by funding from the World Food Programme (WFP), enabling the systematic delivery of food assistance.
The program aims to ensure timely, effective, and equitable distribution of food aid to vulnerable populations, with a focus on returnee populations and women-headed households, who are among the most vulnerable during times of crisis.
